Client: Municipal Employees Credit Union (MECU)
Objective: MECU needed to improve their number of account openings from their city recruitment program. They wanted an updated and more refined look that communicated the quality of service they provide despite being a smaller, local credit union. The new look needed to appeal to both a blue and white collar audience.
Solution: MECU's top selling point is that they're competitive with larger financial institutions while providing a smaller organization's personability. To achieve a higher-end feel, the program's look was revitalized to a more sophisticated design. Sporting sleek, directional lines and minimal editorial layout, the new aesthetic allows the content to focus on MECU's grassroots origin while visually relating credibility. The photography centers on the people who are a part of MECU through a sentimental, monochromatic treatment. Keeping MECU's traditional blue, the color palette features a rich gold grounded in a clean gray and white. This new look was carried to supplementary promotions, such as posters that were displayed in municipal buildings and MECU's social media. As a result, MECU's recruitment program tripled in account registrations.
